Freinsheim still has its medieval town wall dating back to the 15th century. It surrounds the old town and there are many towers and gates are set into it. It is one of the best preserved and most beautiful walls in Rhineland-Palatinate. The town was first mentioned in a charter in the year 774.
Freinsheim hat immer noch sein mittelalterliche Stadtmauer aus dem 15. Jahrhundert. Sie umschließt die Altstadt. Viele Tore und Türme sind Bestandteil der Mauer. Die Stadtmauer ist eine der schönsten und am besten erhaltenen in Rheinland Pfalz. Die Stadt wurde das erste Mal im Jahre 774 urkundlich erwähnt.
